85/87 365+1 2012

 Yvonne's maternity photo shoot. She is so big and ready to pop, that baby boy will be coming any day now! Yay! It was such a joy to photograph my best friend, her little bundle of joy and her husband. I love this family so much and am so excited to have that new little guy join us. Of course I took so many pictures, narrowing it down to one was hard, but I am pleased with this one and be sure to stay tuned because that little boy will be popping up a lot in the next 281 days of this project! Thank you Yvonne and Scott for letting me be a part of this wonderful, exciting, new part of your lives, I can't wait to be Aunt Dana and snuggle that little man every moment I get!!

 This is what happens when my wonderful mother in law comes for a visit! Homemade bread and cinnamon rolls! Yummy! The boys do have her wrapped around their finger, she makes them all of these goodies in the picture, pancakes, fresh oatmeal, gives them play time galore, treasure hunts, all of that great grandma fun! I appreciate the help, the wonderful things she teaches me (like making all of the things in the picture), the quiet time I get because she handles the boys, and just the wonderful adult company, and someone to talk that is older than 9! :)

This is the new man in my life! Little Bryce! This guy is a cutie! I am blessed to be able to start having him hang out with us a few days a week so his mom and dad can work.  This is the first day I have had him and he took right to me, not really even wanting me to put him down, he is a big snuggler! Yay for me!! I am excited for this great opportunity to have another little man in our lives and another family to call friends as we get to know each other more. I never thought I would even get into watching others little ones so that they can work, but I am so blessed that I have the opportunity help other parents out. Now I can't imagine not having Memphis and Quinn as a little part of our family, and now little Bryce. I love that this also gives the boys an opportunity to be around kids of all ages and how you handle them, the crying, the feeding, the joys of the first smiles and the first steps, how to be quiet and how to be gentle, things that many of them don't remember when their younger siblings were born, but are learning now with these little ones running around!

Plants in our front yard. I am not totally sure what these are, but they remind me of cactus in Arizona. 

There are days I really miss Arizona. It took so much for the Lord to comfort my heart so long ago to move there with Gabe, and now that I am not there anymore I sure do miss it. I miss my friends, I miss the beautiful weather that we had (well - the summers) :), and I miss my snaps girls so much that my heart aches inside! Some of my best memories and true some of the worst were there, but I really liked living there. I love Colorado and what has come of me coming here. God has brought me so far in these last four years and I am so grateful and wouldn't want my life to be something else. But I miss it and maybe one day we will go back, only the Lord knows, and that's just fine with me! 

 Rolly Polly fun! The boys found this great rolly polly and each one took a turn holding it. Jordan had it for the longest, the other boys were disinterested really fast, but this little man held on to this thing as long as he could, only put it down when it was time to go inside. I love his face of concentration in this photo and his amazement of this little creature!

Zeke running for a touchdown. I love everyone's faces and the determination as all of the boys run.
It's FOOTBALL time (Go Claws)! We love sports and the boys love playing. This year instead of soccer we picked something new, so Ximon, James and Zeke are playing flag football. This was there first game! They all did so great. Zeke and Ximon both got a touchdown and James pulled a flag (a tackle). They are all so good and so fast, it's crazy. I love our sport saturday mornings of coffee, donuts, friends and family filling the sideline, snacks, cheering and just plain family fun!

Storytime with Daddy! I love that Shawn reads to the boys every night. It gives me a bit of a break from the day and it's great father/son time. It is precious just to watch and hear them laugh! I love my family so much, there are not even words and at times like these I literally feel my heart overflowing with joy!

 Two of my favorite things! Amazing race and snapple, what a pair! As a side note this flavor was really good. :)
I love this show and actually hope one day to be on it with Shawn. Who knows if that day will ever come, and if we would even survive doing it! ! But for now I will just enjoy watching the show every week and cheering on my favorite teams!

Two more of my favorite things, the color red and pepsi! I didn't really have anything interesting to shoot today, so I settled on this. Not really how I wanted it to turn out, but I do love the colors and texture, so not a complete loss. Tomorrow will be a wonderful sunny day and I will actually try and get outside!

 It's that time of year again. Pretty toes and cute flip flops! I love spring and summer!! I have to admit during the winter I don't shave, well hardly ever, and I don't paint my toes, I am in hibernation mode! :) I am so excited to pull out my warm cloths, have nice smooth legs, paint my toes and just enjoy the sunshine!

 St. Patrick's day parade! We decided to hit the parade today. Man was it busy, but the boys had fun seeing the floats, and collecting enough candy to kill all of their teeth. This is them waving for some free things, and collecting their goodies. What made this day even better is that we were spending it with some great friends!

Sunday morning joys! I caught this little man in my comfy office chair reading and laughing at the Sunday comics.

The light in my hall way. Eerie I think and beautiful all at the same time.

Me and one of my greatest loves, my camera! I don't know what I would do if I couldn't or didn't take pictures. They are such a huge part of who I am. I am so comfortable behind a camera, much more so  than in front of it. :) I love that I get to make books of our photos and that the boys can relive moments over and over again through my pictures. I love to see them hanging in my clients homes, or showcased in other ways. I am honored to bring joy and make memories with those I take pictures of. I am thankful that God has allowed me to do something that I love!

This little guy was in my neighbors back yard this morning. I didn't have time to grab my zoom lens, so this is the best I have. He was so beautiful, carrying around food, and calling out for his mate!

Movie day. Not the best picture, sorry. We went to the sensory friendly movie The Lorax today. I am so blessed that they offer these movies. They are for families and friends of those who have all sorts of disabilities. They are offered at a discounted rate, the lights are turned up, the sound is a bit lower and they don't enforce the quiet rule. It is a blessing to our family and I know many others to be able to enjoy the movies when they offer these kinds of perks. John loves the movies but does not like the dark, so it really works out well for us. Also the cost is so much better, I can do $40 for our family, I can't do $70.  

We decided last minute to go to the zoo on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Most of the animals were up and moving around, I love those kinds of day at the zoo. I took so many pictures and couldn't really decide, but here it is, one of my many favorites of the day. The grizzly bears were up and about today. We stayed and watched them forever. Right before we left this guy settled on the rock right in front of us, crossed his paws and took a rest. So completely precious! 

Confession, my husband took this picture. :) I did take a few today, but didn't like any of them, so I decided to showcase my husband's work instead!
They boys went with daddy to the park tonight after dinner. We are really loving the sun and the extra daylight hours that spring brings. The boys are so funny and have so much fun just being themselves. This is Zeke, showing off is attack moves!

 I got my husband sick. :( Poor guy! We are all now sick with either strep or high fevers with coughs. The great joy of a big family, one person gets something then we all have some variation of it.

 Oh no a dino has arrive at our house! These 3D glasses sure do bring a lot of joy and laughs to our house!

I took a lot of pictures of the boys playing, but decided on this one for today. I love my son in the background and love how I can see so many bubbles coming out of the bubble gun. And I think the colors just pop! I love spring and the coming color filled days. I don't so much like the blah, white and gray of winter.
Finally a great, warm day outside. We are still recovering from being sick, but decided to spend this wonderful day outside. The boys loved playing with the bubbles and riding bikes. We can't wait for spring and are looking forward to the great week of weather we have coming our way. At or over 70 degrees for a full week!

Man this is getting harder and harder. I keep getting sick so my shots are uninteresting and all indoors. I can't wait till spring is here, warm weather and hopefully no more sickness and I can go crazy with this project!

First go at making homemade ice cream, thanks to a great gift from Ashlea! The boys didn't want to really help dad make the ice cream, so they just enjoyed the treat afterwards! It was yummy!

Well I am again super sick! :( This time with strep throat. I can't seem to catch a break. I can't wait for spring!

 Me and my love! A fun picture of us. It was the end of the day, after a wonderful dinner, it was pj time and our friends were coming over for our weekly get together (to watch The Office and play games) and I still needed to take my picture for the day. So we decided to shoot some selfies before they got there. Except it wasn't going to well. My face was weird in every picture, and then I kept laughing, and since I have a wonderful camera that takes multiple shoots when we push the button we ended up with this wonderful picture! It's one of my absolute favorite photo's of us, I think I am going to blow it up and hang it in my room! :)

 We were out shopping tonight and ran into our favorite girl scout, selling her cookies!
This girl is amazing, she set her goal at 2000 boxes and passed it!! She never fails to amaze me, such a hard worker, always smiling and just a joy to have in our life! We are blessed to know her whole family and lucky enough to call them neighbors and friends!

Free pretzel day at Aunt Annies! We decided to load up our boys and head out  for a day of fun and freebies, with just a few other boring, shopping stops! :)
This was just one of our great freebies that we landed today. We also got to do a scavenger hunt at the Disney store and each boy won a free Disney puzzle! We barely missed out on a free quart of paint (we will try to get that one next week), We scored everything we needed for the boys for spring football (3 pairs of cleats, 5 pairs of athletic shorts, and 1 pair of athletic pants, and everything was in excellent shape) for only $12 at goodwill (it was 50% off day and I didn't even know it!). Yay for a perfect Saturday!!

A little piece of heaven! Even sweeter because they were free after my coupons!! I love pot of gold chocolates! The caramel and the nut ones are my favorites! I can't wait to dig into these boxes of greatness, but first to the freezer because I like my chocolate nice and cold! 

We had parent teacher conferences tonight and James ran into one of his friends, Joshua! They kept passing each other in the hall and giving lots of hugs and having many laughs. I had to get a picture of this cute pair!! James is by far a class favorite, everyone loves him and his great spirit, I am so proud of him and I love to meet all of his little friends!
